Alone Time

Scout is snoozing peacefully, although every once in a while his eyes pop open, he spits (or rather fires) out his binky and his bottom lip curls under with the saddest little cry I've ever heard. Malachi's infant cry was less sad, more grating - like make me want to cry and scream all at the same time grating. He was and is sooo cute there's just never been anything cute about that cry.
I'm having my "alone time", at Colters, with Scout, but it is good. There is something about not making my own coffee and having at least 15 miles between me and my laundry that makes this atmosphere extremely relaxing.
Malachi is going through an extremely determined - discovering my boundaries - screaming and yelling - fit throwing stage. Right now we're removing our exasperated two year old to his room until he decides he's ready to be happy. This morning his room time was very short. After I exited, he gave an impressive, but short performance (it's not much fun without an audience). He then called in a completely calm tone "Moooooooom! I done throwing fit!"

Like I said, cute.

He fills my day with comments like "nice butt mom."or "you pitty cute". I can't imagine what could be better than spending my days with this hilarious little person.
