I was tucking Malachi is a couple nights ago and we were praying together. He almost always asks me to "cuddle him". So we were cuddling and talking about dinosaurs and giants.
"A dinosaur will come and put me in his mouth!" Malachi told me with his eyebrows raised and his eyes bugging out of his head.
"No he won't because God is protecting you." I told him, but Malachi would have none of it.
"I'll tell God that the dinosaur put me in his mouth." He said "Jesus, that dinosauer put me in his mouth!" He furrowed eyebrows and tensed up his lips into a little "o" shape, and then said in his best deep 'man' voice, "It's okay Malachi, I pre-tect you."
"Does that make you feel better?" I asked trying not to laugh.
"Yeah," said Malachi nodding in confidence, "Jesus sounds like Uncle Jesse."

ReplyDeleteI know that it's been awhile since this was written but I have told it so much and absolutely LOVE it! Such a great story. I decided that I just had to comment on it. Don't you wish you had a recorder with you and could catch each and every one of those wonderful sayings? I could just grab him up and kiss and nibble him! I love being his and Scout's gamma.
